According to Sportschau information, the Danish national handball player Simon Pytlick will be moving from SG Flensburg-Handewitt to the Berliner Füchse during the next summer break.
There have been rumors for months about a possible transfer from Simon Pytlick to the Foxes – now it’s official. As Sportschau commentator Florian Nass announced live on Erste during the live broadcast of the northern derby between Flensburg and Kiel, the Foxes have pulled the Danish world champion’s release clause.
Pytlick will therefore not fulfill his contract, which is valid until 2030, and will play for the Berliners from the 2026/27 season. The exceptional player moved from the Danish league to SG Flensburg-Handewitt in 2023. There he won the EHF European League in 2024 and 2025.
Berlin Foxes bring in Pytlick as a replacement for Andersson
The left backfield player is the direct replacement for Lasse Andersson, who will leave the Berliners for his Danish homeland in the summer after six years. “We have been looking for an adequate solution for a long time and I am sure that the time will come to be able to announce something there.”Berlin’s managing director Bob Hanning announced at the end of September.
