The (hyperactive) Dutch economy is already reaching its limits. Companies are queuing up for a connection to the power grid. We don’t have enough land to build on. There is a shortage on the labor market. Nature is having a hard time. And in the future even more space will be needed. For defense, for example. And to become more climate-friendly and resilient.

Today Maarten and Marike discuss what kind of economy the Netherlands is, was and should become. How can this shortage be solved? Which industry suits today’s Netherlands? Who decides that, and can it actually be determined from above? It may all sound a bit heavy, but don’t worry: we can do this chefs. Listen until the end for Marike’s encouragement.
