There is more Inter in the second half. With Diouf in the spotlight and Mkhitaryan kicking (59′) the corner which Bisseck heads to score, eluding two opponents and making Musso’s dive in vain. Atletico shakes itself and goes for the shot both with Ruggeri with a left-footed volley just over the crossbar, then with Carlos Gimenéz: he blocks Martinez. Then it was only Inter who came close to taking the lead with an angled right-footed shot from Diouf, which went just wide, and an opportunity from Agbonifo (Bonny out) who all alone angled the shot which however was blocked with his left foot by Musso coming out. The many substitutions end up watering down the end of the match. Thus we go to penalties which reward Atletico 4-2.
