To finance the trips abroad, De Zaan is again holding a number of fundraising campaigns this year. “A beer has again been developed that people can buy to support us. We will also be organizing clinics with the entire team to raise as much money as possible. Although we are also very grateful to our sponsors for their support.”
The water polo players are receiving support from an unexpected source in the run-up to the European Super Cup. Roline Schuijt, one of the new players, came over from Sant Andreu this summer. “That’s nice,” Rogge responds. “Roline knows exactly what they do and how they prepare. She has already provided us with good input. She has no feelings of revenge, but is eager to win.”
