Ozan Kabak, who ruptured his cruciate ligaments in the special match played by the National Football Team against Italy in 2024 and was away from the fields for about 1.5 years, left his long injury process behind. The promising defender of Turkish football has finally returned to the green fields.
The 25-year-old defender, who plays for Hoffenheim, one of the Bundesliga teams, took part in the friendly match between the national matches. The blue-white team won the match against the 2nd League representative Kaiserslautern, which was played behind closed doors at the Dietmar Hopp Stadium, 4-0.
Hoffenheim’s goals were scored by Tim Lemperle in the 9th minute, Arthur Chaves in the 47th minute, Ihlas Bebou in the 56th minute and Grischa Prömel in the 68th minute. Ozan Kabak started the match in the first 11 and was replaced by Valentin Lassig after the first half.
The national football player, who has been struggling with a cruciate ligament injury for a long time, missed last season completely. This season, Kabak, who was only in the squad for the Eintracht Frankfurt match but could not get any playing time, appeared on the scene again with the Kaiserslautern match.
Ozan Kabak’s contract with Hoffenheim continues until June 30, 2026.
