Former faner Jonne Virtanen jerks a small budget jokes in the League’s top department. It’s a tough trick.
The Jukurit announced this season’s player budget for the smallest amount in the league, EUR 1.5 million.
The big authors of the series continued their familiar evening fairy tale line. Tappara announced that it would spend EUR 3.5 million on players’ salaries and Ilves 3.3 million. In reality, both of them are clearly using more hyenkles this season.
The Jukuri is economically small, but has been bigger in the early part of the season.
– Many things there in Mikkeli have gone down. There, the joy of working together is shining, and it has been said a lot in these league circles, says Pekka Virta, Iltalehti’s ice hockey expert from Jukuri.
– When money cannot constantly be able to get up and change different things in the team all the time, the coaching team and the entire sports leadership are blowing together and focusing on coaching. The Jukurit has gained tremendous potential for anonymous players and thus widely successful. It, in turn, raises confidence in everyone in the organization, Virta thinks.
