Denmark defeated Belarus in Hungary: 0-6. Victor Froholdt opened the scoring. Højlund then scored twice and Patrick Dorgu scored in extra time in the first half. Anders Dreyer scored twice more in the second half.
Denmark leads Group C with 7 points from three games. Scotland also has 7 points after a 2-1 win over Greece, but a worse goal difference. Kostas Tsimiakas was successful for the Greeks, but the Scots then scored three times through Ryan Christie, Lewis Ferguson and Lyndon Dykes.
Monster score Austria
Austria’s footballers lashed out against San Marino. In Vienna it became 10-0, partly due to four goals from Marko Arnautovic. Austria leads in group H with 15 points. Bosnia & Herzegovina, which drew 2-2 in Cyprus, has 13 points and is second.
Only the winner of each group will qualify directly for next year’s World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
