The royal class of women is moving. However, you have to pay for the live broadcasts. There are at most two exceptions.
The games of the champions League of the footballers starting on Tuesday are only shown in Pay TV in Germany. The streaming portal Disney+ had secured media rights for all of Europe from the 2025/26 season for five seasons in May.
There will be only excerpts in this country on freely receiving television. The ZDF will report on the league class of the women’s league classes, the broadcaster said. “It is planned to broadcast a possible semi -finals or finals with German participation live.” This is made possible by a contract by the European Radio Union (EBU).
The complete Champions League is available at the Disney+streaming service, which shows live sport in Germany for the first time. The group’s paid online station shows 75 games per season. Disney replaces the sports broadcaster DAZN, who recently held the worldwide rights and showed games free of charge on YouTube.
The live commentators are Matthias Naebers, Ruben Zimmermann and Nico Seepe. A moderation before the live broadcasts is not planned in Germany, as Disney+ explained. The monthly subscription with advertising costs 6.99 euros a month and without advertising 10.99 euros.
