Special vacation for four Bayern stars
October 6, 2025 – 4:54 p.mReading time: 2 minutes

Head coach Vincent Kompany will forego team training for an entire week during the international break. Four Bayern stars benefit from this. Nevertheless, there is activity at the club facility.
The majority of the FC Bayern squad left Munich on Monday at the latest to take part in the upcoming international matches. But not all of the record champions’ professionals will be on the pitch in the coming days.
Four players are allowed to use the entire first week of the international break for regeneration. This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper. Specifically, these are captain Manuel Neuer (39), Sven Ulreich (37), Sacha Boey (25) and Raphaël Guerreiro (31), who are not traveling with their national teams. Head coach Vincent Kompany remains true to his previous line and once again forgoes joint training sessions during the first part of the league break.
For the released players, this does not automatically mean absolute free time – they receive individual training programs – but they benefit from an overall quieter week. Kompany has already established this practice when the national players were previously deployed.
Although the national players are away, Säbener Straße is still busy. The players who are in recovery training after injuries are continuing to work on their comeback. This also included Josip Stanišić, who was out with a partial tear of the medial ligament in his right knee, and Jonas Urbig, who is recovering from a torn muscle fiber in his adductors.
Both completed individual sessions on Monday morning. Goalkeeper Urbig initially trained with goalkeeper coach Michaelrechner and then carried out a fitness program under the guidance of rehabilitation manager Benjamin Sommer.
Stanišić followed with running exercises and light ball training under the same supervision. Hiroki Itō, who has been sidelined since March due to a metatarsal fracture, is also continuing his rehabilitation program. On Monday he trained individually without Alphonso Davies, who is still out due to a torn cruciate ligament with cartilage damage.
Jamal Musiala is also still in advanced training. The offensive player is working on his return after breaking his fibula in July and is currently training in the performance center with a view to a comeback this year.
