In recent years, more and more parents have received higher amounts of child -related budget. The cabinet mainly wants to support parents with lower and middle income with child-related budget. That is why parents with an income of more than 60,000 euros from 2027 receive less child -related budget.
Minister Mariëlle Paul of Social Affairs and Employment today started an internet consultation on the bill that regulates the reduction. The child -related budget meets the costs of children. The budget must increase the opportunities of children and prevent child poverty. How many child -related budget parents get depends on their income and the number of children.
In recent years, the amounts per child have been considerably increased. From this year up to and including 2028, the amounts will go up step by step. Due to the increases, more and more families with a higher income are getting child -related budget. That is not efficient. For that reason, the government decided this spring to give parents with an income up to 60,000 euros from 2027 less child -related budget. This applies to both parents with a partner and single parents.
