Trainer Adi Hütter will probably have to take his hat off to AS Monaco. At least the signs are more and more condensed that the 55 -year -old Austrian is released from his office during the current international break. According to some reports, the club management is said to have already decided to separate.

“L’équipe” had previously reported on the search for a possible successor, but with the indication that the Monegassen had repeatedly probed the market in the past. In the meantime, however, the search should be well advanced. Ex-BVB coach Edin Terzic is therefore in the pole position. The 42-year-old led the Dortmund 2024 to the Champions League final, after which he resigned from his office.

Hütter had finished third with AS Monaco last season and thus secured the qualification for the premier class. After seven match days, fifth and four wins are currently available in Ligue 1. In the Champions League, the Monegassen are waiting for two games on the first three. Recently there was no victory in three games, including a 2-2 against Manchester City in the premier class. There, the start at Club Bruges 1: 4 was lost.

In the summer of 2023, Hütter was one of the best paid coaches in France to Ligue 1. In the spring of 2024, “L’équipe” estimated his monthly salary at 250,000 euros gross, then second place behind PSG coach Luis Enrique, to which a salary of over 900,000 euros was attributed. In the last January, Hütter had extended until 2027, so that he should have improved financially again. Since taking office, he has had 93 games in which he scored an average of 1.77 points.
