As soon as Formula 1, a delicate edge of the edge between Max Verstappen and the McLaren cars germinates, at the Grand Prix of Singapore at once Mercedes pilot George Russell drives to a sovereign triumph. For Verstappen, there was only second place, behind it, Lando Norris rumbled past Papaya colleague Oscar Piatri.
In your sport.de-Debrief explain F1 expert Christian Danner and RTL data analyst Steffen Kosuch, why Verstappen was well served with the silver rank, why Norris got away without warning and how much slower Ferrari was in Singapore.
George Russell drove away everyone in Singapore. After a sovereign pole position, the silver arrow claims the lead with a great start and easily stopped from its persecutors until the first pit stop.
In the second stint, too, the Briton controlled the night grand prix-his triumph was never in danger.

Max Verstappen, on the other hand, had to struggle clearly. His attempt to catapult himself past Russell at the start with the more grippy soft tires failed, after which he could not go with the Pace of the Mercedes man. The Red Bull star had the entire race in the rear of the pushing McLaren from Lando Norris.
Only because it is so difficult to overtake in Singapore, was able to withstand the pressure and, as the second, took out the maximum.
Formula 1 commissioners spare Norris for Piatri collision
At the start that Norris was the better McLaren this time. From the fifth place he initially pushed himself past Russell colleague Andrea Kimi Antonelli, but slightly braked on the inner track in curve 2 and only touched off the inner lane and thus slipped in his stable rival Oscar Piatri, which was driving on the right next to him.
The Australian lost their swing through contact and had to line behind Norris. The FIA stewards probably did not investigate the incident because all of this happened in the immediate start phase. Particularly explosive, because of course the World Cup leaders got in the way that are also teammates.
In the course of the race, Piatri had to be torn down, only at the end he came to Norris for two seconds – too late for an attack.

Antonelli finished fifth by a large distance and also because of Ferrari’s problems.
Ferrari disappointed-Red Bull remains a one-man team
Nothing worked for the red again, on average Ferrari was slower than the tip for half a second per round.
Lewis Hamilton tried it with a two-stop strategy and attacked Soft-Pneus Antonelli. Massive braking problems prevented a possible fifth place – and it came even thicker: Because Hamilton left the route several times, the race management punished him. Fernando Alonso inherited his seventh place in the Aston Martin.
Charles Leclerc, however, seemed to fight in the last ten rounds with declining tires – the bottom line again a very weak weekend for Scuderia.
Red Bull may have improved the RB21, but remains a one-man team that clearly showed Singapore. Yuki Tsunoda was hopelessly twelfth and also rounded.
