He was one of the few video journalists when a demonstration in The Hague was completely out of hand because of the extreme right -wing rioters. Not for the first time: with his characteristic voice and black suit, he regularly stands between the torches, smoke and scanning crowd. The 16-year-old Benjamin Buit, better known as Bender, wakes up the Netherlands with raw, unfiltered reports of demonstrations and street fights. From climate activists to the extreme right: the demonstrators tolerate him. Together with brother Tommy Buit and cameraman Willem van der Hoeven, he manages what the established media is not always successful.
