The visitors started the party best. After barely ten minutes, Abrahams put himself well on the right flank and brought the ball in front. Mertens was just too short, but Margaritha was well set up and headed Beveren in the lead.

Kortrijk tried to respond through Van Landschoot, but goalkeeper Reus kept his nets clean. On the other side it went from bad to worse for the cattle. Lambert wanted to eliminate a cross, but unhappy kicked teammate Bruls, who incorporated the 0-2 in goal.

Kortrijk did get better out of the dressing room. Dejaegere was cleverly covered by Ambrose, who crashed the connection goal against the nets: 1-2. De Hoop at the home team lived up for a moment, but Margaritha finally threw the game in the end fifteen minutes later with his second of the afternoon: 1-3.

Beveren remains clear in the lead in 1B with 27 out of 27. Kortrijk, which suffers his first defeat of the season, now gets the international break to recharge.
