The Liverpool FC must take the next setback in the Premier League. The defeat against Chelsea means the loss of the lead.
A 1: 2 bankruptcy (0: 1) at Chelsea FC costs FC Liverpool the top position in the Premier League. The “Reds” have to cede the first place in the table in England’s highest division to FC Arsenal, who had previously won his home game against Sunderland 2-0.
Moises Caicedo gave the Londoners in the lead on the Stamford Bridge after 14 minutes. Liverpool came to equalize in the second round by Cody Gakpo (63.). But Chelsea shocked the reigning master deep in added time. The 18-year-old Estêvão scored for the “Blues” for the acclaimed victory (90. +7) after the presentation of Marc Cucurella.
For Liverpool, the defeat is already the third bitter setback within a week. On the last match day, the eleven of Arne Slot also collected a bankruptcy with a late goal in London at Crystal Palace. In the league, after seven missions, Wirtz continued to succeed. The ex-Leverkusener had recently been criticized by the former English international Wayne Rooney and Jamie Carragher whether his not yet convincing services were clearly criticized.
