New biathlon dream couple is shown

In spring she became world champion in biathlon. Now Swede Elvira Öberg shows her private happiness.
The biathlon world has a new dream couple: the Swedish biathletes Elvira Öberg and Oskar Brandt have officially made their love with a new Instagram post. On her profile, Öberg shared a photo with Brandt, on which both smile happily into the camera. The 26-year-old wrote: “After a time that was somewhat impaired by illness, it feels particularly good that support from home is so great” and set two emojis in love.
In August, Öberg had already appeared in an Instagram post from Brandt, but there was no clear love statement at the time. According to a report by the Swedish newspaper “Expressen”, Öberg and Brandt should have been a couple since spring. In 2024, Öberg separated from her then partner Axel Frost.
At the beginning of the year, Öberg celebrated great success at the Biathlon World Championships. In the mass start, she won the gold medal and was also allowed to cheer with the Swedish season about silver in the persecution behind the German Franziska Preuss and bronze. With Hanna Öberg, she also has a very successful biathlete as a sister.
Brandt’s career, on the other hand, has so far been less successful. After his World Cup debut in 2020, he has not been able to prevail in the national team. A seventh place with the Swedish season in 2021 is its best placement so far.
