The former Wolfsburg player Renato Steffen was injured in a collision in a game of the Swiss league than initially known. Steffen, who plays for FC Lugano, was ridden against Lausanne towards the ball shortly before the end, but missed it and hit goalkeeper Karlo Letica. The Swiss initially remained motionless, could then be carried from the square. He saw the red card on the stretcher. Now it became known what injuries he had – and how long he stayed in the hospital.

As the Swiss news site Blue reports, the striker suffered a lung trauma with pneumothorax. He had to lie in the intensive care unit for two days, only after five days he was able to leave the hospital. It is unclear how long Steffen will fail. According to information from Blue, the 33-year-old could start running training again next week. Until it is fit again, the lock should also have expired because of the red card.

His club could need him: FC Lugano was only able to score eight goals in the season, especially away from the players. There is hope for the next game. Then you compete against FC Winterthur, which stands even worse and has already conceded 21 goals.
