Taylor Swift’s twelfth album “The Life of a Showgirl” is finally here – and it contains a long -awaited collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
Carpenter, the only guest singer on the LP, sings together with Swift on the title song “The Life of a Showgirl”. The mid-tempo pop song tells the story of a woman named Kitty, who “earned her money with it to be pretty and funny”. The two singers merge their voices while they slip into the role of Kitty and sing: “Hey, thanks for the pretty bouquet / you are sweeter than a peach / but you don’t know the life of a show girl, baby / and you will never know it.”
At the end of the song, Swift says: “A applause for the band, the dancers and of course for Sabrina.” And Carpenter calls: “I love you, Taylor!”

“The Life of a Showgirl” is the first joint admission of Swift and Carpenter. The rumored collaboration was officially confirmed in August when Swift published the album’s tracklist. Carpenter reacted on Instagram with the words: “I know someone who freaks – and that’s me.”
