In an exclusive interview with RTL/NTV and Sport.de, ex-f1 team boss Günther Steiner expresses considerable doubts that Max Verstappen can intervene again in the World Cup fight in Formula 1. “The best drivers and the best cars will be at the front. The route in Singapore is very difficult, qualifying on Saturday will determine a lot there,” said Günther Steiner in an interview with RTL/NTV UNF Sport.de for the race. The South Tyrolean does not see the Red Bull at the front: “I would say that McLaren is the favorite.”

Steiner does not believe that it will be enough for the F1 title defender to intervene again: “I doubt that Max Verstappen can still become world champion. He is certainly the best driver in the field, that is very clear. Only he does not have the right device, which brings him the necessary performance.”
