“It has never been as bad as today”: prison staff takes action against overcrowding in various places

In various places in the country, prison staff and directors have taken action to break a cry for help about the increasing overcrowding of Belgian prisons. A hundred people gathered at the central administration prisons, in the Golden Vlieslaan in Brussels. Mathilde Steenbergen, director-general of the prison system, also came down to show her solidarity.
