Ethical Center for Finnish Sports (SUEK) tells In a news release on the results of the floorball betting scandal.

The investigation of the events of 2021-25 has focused on 114 players and club members who have been betting more than a thousand times in the F-League or Inssi diva.

The ten most violating betting people have been in different roles as a player, sports director, manager, assistant coach and guardian. Their share of all violations is about 80 %. The bets have included games from their own teams, including losses. At its highest, the number of bets on one person has risen to over EUR 8,600, consisting of 184 separate bets.

– The large number of bets and bets that hit the bet show that the rules have been extensive and long lasting. Based on the information provided by Veikkaus, there has also been reason to suspect, in addition to his own account, one F-league player has used an account of a person in his or her related party to a significant euro betting. However, SUEK’s powers are not enough to investigate the matter, the Suek Investigation Manager Jouko Ikonen says according to the bulletin.

The Suek reports have been submitted to the discipline of the Finnish Floorball Association, which will be dealt with.

The Floorball Federation’s Competition and Discipline Group (KKR) is considering which individuals may be appropriate to launch a disciplinary procedure.

After informing, the suspects may present their own position.

– After submitting the answers, the KKR will meet and start a decision and then make decisions. Due to the abundance of suspected rules, the case can be estimated to last for a few months. At this stage, it is not possible to assess the exact timing of decisions, the chairman of the competition and disciplinary team Olli Rauste comment.

SUEK also studied one F-League match (Classic-SPV) and World Cup (Finland-Norway), where collection information has been leaked in violation of the rules. The acts were not found to be a competition manipulation, even though they broke the rules.

The final disciplinary decisions will be made by the Finnish Floorball Association for the F-League and possibly the International Floorball Association (IFF) for the World Cup.
