On the A50 near Son en Breugel, a truck full of demolition cars caught fire on Wednesday afternoon. The fire was in the supporter of the combination. The driver traded quickly and managed to disconnect the trailer.
The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire with foam. A platform has also been deployed. The scrap cars are taken from the trailer to extinguish.
Due to the fire and extinguishing work, traffic from Kennedeylaan cannot go to Nijmegen on the highway. It will take a while for everything to be cleaned up and the road can be opened again. The diversion is via exit 7 to the Ekkersrijt industrial estate.
