A former employee of a German parliamentary member for the extreme right -wing party AfD was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison for espionage for China. A court in the East German city of Dresden has decided that. The convicted person, Jian G., worked for AFD politician Maximilian Krah when it was in the European Parliament from 2019 to 2024. He is currently sitting in the German parliament.
