Aviation giant Lufthansa, parent company of Brussels Airlines, announced on Monday that 4,000 office jobs are disappearing. Artificial intelligence (AI) and automation can do the work more efficiently (and cheaper). Is this the starting signal of a larger AI dismissal wave in Europe? And which jobs are the most danger? “AI already costs jobs, but this also creates new opportunities,” says HLN work expert Stijn Baert (UGent).
