Taken from a series of novels by Maurizio De Giovanni, Sara – The woman in the shade It is a Netflix title that rides a canon dear to the most recent Italian seriality: that of the detective woman with a tormented past that is investigating and fighting in mainly male environments.
Unlike many examples of generalist TV, however, updates some clichés: family involvement in investigations, an angular femininity, gloomy tones, the complicity with another colleague make this series an anomaly in the panorama of the genre.
For those who love female detective stories with different facets.
