Great Russian attack on Ukraine
The Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other cities were heavily attacked in the night from Saturday to Sunday in what observers describe as one of the greatest Russian offensives since the start of the war, more than three and a half years ago.
According to independent experts, both the city and the surrounding region were bombarded with drones, while anti -aircraft guns were active all night. The attack was still going on around 7.20 am.
Mayor Vitali Klitsjko reported that several neighborhoods of Kiev were hit by rockets and drones. In addition, at least five people were injured. A five -storey residential building was partly destroyed and fires were created in other buildings and cars. Many residents sought refuge in the deep underground metro stations.
According to the news portal The Kyiv Independent, which is based on local authorities, there were also attacks on Zaporizja and Chmmennytsky. In Zaporizja, four people were injured, a school was damaged and a fire broke out in a residential complex.
