“Even MyPension doesn’t know”: people over 60 are in the dark about their retirement

Thousands of Belgians with the pension are in sight in total uncertainty. The new, stricter pension rules that the federal government beat before the summer should take effect on January 1. But the Federal Pension Service (FPD) now calls that timing completely unrealistic. “Nobody can tell me whether I can stop early in 2027, 2028 or until 2029. Even MyPension does not know,” Koen Peeters (61) denounces. Other readers do not yet know months before their retirement how much they will attract every month.
