In a new video, Dunja proves to her husband that she too could build a rap career.
Samra is currently one of the most popular rappers in Berlin – his last album Kareem was released in July this year and quickly reached second place on the German album charts. But on the Internet it was recently his wife Dunja who attracted his fans’ attention with a surprising rap performance.

Dunja Akkouche: wife and newcomer?
On Tikok and Instagram, the 26-year-old shows the life of the two behind the scenes: make laundry, raise their son Kareem, recipe videos and likeable outfit reels, in which Samra, who is actually called Hussein, can be seen as a loving husband. In his past, the rapper had to deal with serious psychological crises and addiction problems, which he also treated in his texts. Dunja accompanied him in these phases and occasionally shares with the public with what stress the couple has to struggle with.
But in her latest video, Dunja shows that the house blessing is anything but wrong with the young family. Dunja surprised her husband with a few self-written verses, which she raps on dark-sounding hip-hop beats. “I worked on it for four months,” she announced grinning. At the first tones, Hussein is blown away, the head nods with it and it doesn’t take long for the rapper to use the first Adlibs.
Samra and fans are thrilled
“I write texts, do the laundry,” she raps, and: “If I go on stage, the light goes to me / security around me because I am known”. Hussein laughs, nods and is generally visibly proud of his wife. “That was overnight!” He sums up and praises Dunja for her hook.
In the comments under their video, Husseins fans look forward to and fire Dunja. Most believe that she can soon compete with her husband. “Dunja ft. Samra!” Write, while other jokes, Dunja would be his ghostwriters. But most of them are simply happy that the couple seems so happy to be with each other.
Hussein Akkouche alias Samra has been one of the defining voices of the German hip-hop scene since 2017. In 2015 he received the first attention through a feature on Alpa Guns album Ehrenschen II (2015) before being under contract with Bushido’s label Ersguterjunge. With singles such as “Catalea” (2018) and “110” (2019) together with Capital Bra and Lea, he reached the top of the charts. His successful ointments include Jibrrail & Iblis (2020), Rohdiamant (2021) and Kareem (2025). In 2023 he published the Dunja EP, which he dedicated to his wife and in which he processed personal experiences and feelings.
