Mr. Ed Wiebes MBA becomes the state council in the Advisory Department of the Council of State. Mr. Jaw Huijben becomes the state council in the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State.
The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal of Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in accordance with State Secretary Rutte of Justice and Security to nominate them for appointment.
Mr Wiebes (62 years old) is currently a partner at McKinsey and Company.
Mr. Huijben (54 years old) is currently a judge in the Administrative Law team of the Oost-Brabant court.
The appointment of Mr Wiebes starts on 1 February 2026 and Mr Huijben on November 1, 2025.
