The candidate for national deputy for the city of Buenos Aires of La Libertad advances, Alejandro Fargosihe was involved in a controversy when he was accused of getting out of the debate between aspiring the lower house. His decision generated discomfort between opponents and opened a new front of criticism towards the libertarian ruling, which seeks to consolidate his representation in CABA.
The first to pronounce was Martín Lousteauwho in X was blunt: “They just confirmed that @fargosi escaped from the debate to which his team had committed a week ago. A pity that they do not want to give their face to discuss everything that the government is doing wrong. It seems that the government’s caste is afraid.”. With that message, the Porteño radical not only questioned the absence, but also sought to install the idea that freedom progresses reproduces the practices that criticizes, taking refuge in the refusal to confront ideas.

However, the episode exceeds the technical justifications. In the city of Buenos Aires, where debates are perceived as a key instance of democratic legitimation, the absence of Fargosi can erode the image of a space that had made the direct confrontation against the “caste” its flag.
