Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke (Vooruit) bounces the ball back to employers’ organization Voka, which asks that GPs would not be allowed to write employees at home for more than a month, and that the employer would be called in after that moment. “The truth is that employers almost never report if someone is absent for more than a month,” he denounces at VTM News. Tomorrow the government will consider a bill that builds up a guarantee that work doctors will effectively know when someone absent for a month.
