A truck drove a walkway on Thursday morning around ten o’clock on the Professor Van Buchemlaan in Tilburg. The bridge has partly collapsed and is on top of the truck. A man who walked his dog was trapped with his legs.

The man was trapped between the tilted bridge and the side of the footpath. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The dog was taken home and taken home by the victim’s mother.

The bridge is still on the truck around Halfwaalfal. Together with the fire brigade, the municipality is investigating how the bridge can best be towed.

Have to detour ambulances
The Professor Van Buchemlaan is closed. The road is a main route to the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital. Visitors to the hospital therefore have to make a detour.

According to the hospital, that does not cause any problems yet. “The ambulance personnel is also aware and knows the routes to drive,” says a hospital spokesperson.
