Verstappen in Saudi Arabia from place 4 on the hunt for first points

Max Verstappen will start from fourth place on Sunday evening during the Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia. The reigning world champion is hunting for his first points of the season in Jeddah.

On Saturday, Verstappen had to tolerate teammate Sergio Pérez, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz during qualifying. “Of course I am not happy with fourth place and we will analyze what happened. But we have a competitive car and we have a lot to fight for as a team on Sunday,” said Verstappen after qualifying.

Mick Schumacher (Haas) will not appear at the start on Sunday. The son of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher crashed in qualifying and was transported to hospital by helicopter. A few hours later, he said he was okay.

Verstappen wants to take revenge in Saudi Arabia for his disappointing first race in Bahrain, where he retired a week ago.

The race starts on Sunday at 7 p.m. Dutch time.
