This morning Brand broke out around six o’clock in Assen. According to the fire brigade, the fire began on the outside of a house on the Betuwe and then spread inside. The flames at the rear of the house broke meters high.
The fire brigade pulled out with several extinguishing vehicles and managed to extinguish the fire around seven. It is not yet clear how great the damage to the home is. Nothing is known about any injured people.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
