Coach Hansi Flick has to do without his injured midfielder Gavi for the rest of the year.
As the Spanish football champion FC Barcelona announced on Tuesday, the 21-year-old will probably be up to five months after a knee operation. The reason for the procedure was a meniscus injury.
2023 was Gavi because of one Cruciate ligament tear fault
Gavi, 21, has not played a game for the Catalans for a month, most recently he was on the field in the league against UD Levant at the end of August.
The club initially relied on conservative treatment. The Spanish international had already suffered a cruciate ligament tear in the same knee in 2023.
