Dembélé took the Champions League with PSG last season. It was the first time that the Parisians won the billion -dollar ball.
Just like last year, Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for the best player under 21 years old.
Dembélé was also recently elected best player in the Champions League. He scored all competitions and tournaments last season, 33 goals and gave fifteen assists. In the 5-0 won final of the Champions League against Inter, he did not score.
Denzel Dumfries and Virgil van Dijk also belonged to the nominees for the Golden Ball, but both Dutch people dropped out early.
