You did it again: The 4×100 meter relay around the German sprint-ace Gina Lückenkemper has secured precious metal at the World Cup.

The sprinters Sina Mayer, Rebekka Haase, Sophia Junk and Gina Lückenkemper cheered over bronze. Afterwards, the athletes fell wrapped in their German flags of Neugebauer when the pouring rain in Japan.

The German season came to the finish line after 41.87 seconds. Gold went to the season from the USA (41.75 seconds), silver to the runners from Jamaica (41.79 seconds).

The German sprint relay already secured the bronze medal at the 2022 World Cup in Eugene. In addition, the quartet around Lückenkemper at the Olympic Games in Paris last year achieved the coup with the bronze medal. Haase and Junk were there last year.

After her bronze success in Tokyo, Sina Mayer explained that they were lucky with the train because they were not as wet in the pouring rain as that of the competition. She added: “We got a lot.”

Haase also added: “It felt very quickly. We had to laugh a little because Gina really ordered the rain: we cannot do it, the others, so we did not eat the food so that it rains.”

Lückenkemper ran her section in 9.85 seconds and said: “I felt good, I didn’t notice anything from the others. We were in blind flight on the train, I didn’t know whether it was enough for the finish line to cross the finish line or not.”
