Some go in the 2nd league on Sunday afternoon: Dynamo Dresden won a tie against Hannover 96. Another team has to accept the first bankruptcy.

Dynamo Dresden and Hannover 96 separated in a turbulent game on the 6th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga with 2-2 draw. All goals were scored in the first half. After a red card, Dresden played outnumbered for a long time.

The other encounters on Sunday afternoon each ended clearly. The Karlsruher SC lost 0: 3 at Holstein Kiel and received the first defeat of the season. The third game of the day also ended with a 3-0, Darmstadt 98 won at Fortuna from Düsseldorf.

Hannover 96 stumbled again. The team of coach Christian Titz did not get over a 2: 2 (2: 2) after a turbulent first half on Sunday and lost the lead. Hanover had received the only defeat of the season so far (0: 3 against Hertha BSC). Dynamo continues to wait for the first home win in the 2025/26 season.

Benedikt Pichler (11th, penalty according to video evidence) and Noel Aseko (44th) met for Hanover. Dresden made the turn through Virgil Ghiță (35th, own goal) and Nils Fröling (42nd).

Hanover was initially playfully superior and came dangerously close to the Dresden Tor even after the first goal. However, the compensation for Dynamo fell out of nowhere: Ghiță led a cross from Dresden’s Vinko Sapina, who later saw the red card because of a rough foul game (54.), unhappily into his own goal.

Dynamo took a new momentum inspired by the unexpected goal, turned the game and promptly had to take the next setback. Pichler (45.+6) hit the post shortly before the break. Hanover offered rooms and opportunities in outnumbered. Benjamin Källman (59.) and Waniss Taïbi (68th) narrowly failed. Overall, however, the Lower Saxony made too little outnumbered, in added time, Dynamo cultural striker Stefan Kutschke even had the chance of winning the winning goal for the home team, but narrowly missed a cross.

Through three hits within ten minutes, Darmstadt 98 won a long balanced game at Fortuna Düsseldorf 3-0 (0: 0) and thus conquered the top of the table.

Hiroki Akiyama (65th minute), Fabian Nürnberger (67th) and ISAC Lidberg (74th) with his sixth season goal caused clear conditions with the mining hosts in the middle of the second half. For the “lilies” it was the fourth win in the sixth season game. For the first time since 1988, Darmstadt won again in Düsseldorf.
