A 30-year-old motorcyclist from Oss died on Saturday evening in an accident on the A2 near Rosmalen. The driver of a car involved in the accident is without a trace and is being sought by the police.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The driver who is being sought ran away on foot. “The car that was found is quite damaged and nobody was in it. We are looking for the person who was behind the wheel,” said a police spokesperson.
A trauma helicopter landed on the highway for assistance. Brokpieces are spread over a hundred meters on the highway.
The parallel lane of the A2 towards Eindhoven is closed from the Empel (A59) junction. A lane of the main road is also closed, so that emergency services can do their work.
It is still unclear how long the investigation will take.
