Karsten Warholm is the world record holder over 400 meters hurdles. But the Norwegian superstar missed a World Cup medal-and now reported.
He became an Olympic champion in Tokyo four years ago over the 400-meter hurdles, secured silver at the games in Paris last year and is the reigning world record holder. But at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Karsten Warholm left empty.
In his view, the Norwegian became fifth in the final over his parade route and landed a place in front of the German starter Emil Aggyekum. Warholm missed the medals and now spoke up on Instagram.
He posted a photo of himself. The Norwegian athlete can be seen on this how it runs barefoot and with a headed head through the stadium. He holds his spikes in his hand, while the ranks are well filled in the background. The recording probably arose after the final run.
Warholm wrote: “Shit Happens.” In German, the sentence means something like “bad things happen”. The 29-year-old then added: “Thank you for all the support. I will relax and we’ll see each other again soon.” He posted a heart.
Warholm had problems in the final over the 400 meter hurdles at the beginning and the superstar of athletics made a gross mistake. The victory went to the American Rai Benjamin (46.52 seconds). Silver secured the Brazilian Alison Dos Santos (46.84) and bronze surprisingly went to Abderrahman Samba from Qatar (47.06).
