Omoda and Jaecoo They decided to take a step forward in the world of hybrid cars. On the evening of Thursday 18 September during the event Super Hybrid Night to the alcatraz of Milanthe two Chinese brands owned by the Chery group have in fact presented their new hybrid system SHS (Super Hybrid System). Next to the already well-known Shs-P, dedicated to Plug-in hybrids, Omoda and Jaecoo have thus decided to debut the new Shs-H, or cars with motorization Full Hybrid without the need for external charging. The protagonist of the evening was the new Omoda 5 shs-hthe Full Hybrid SUV with 224 HP of total power, available on the Italian market since the end of September 2025 in two installations: even starting from 28,500 euros and premium from 31,500 euros.

At the Alcatraz in Milan, the main attention was so for the new Full Hybrid version of Omoda 5. A SUV equipped with an engine 1.5 Tgdi petrol Miller cycle e Two electric engines combined with a 1.8 kWh battery. This OMODA 5 SHS-H, 4.45 meters long, from 224 HP total has so consumption declared in the combined WLTP cycle of 5.3 l/100 km and an overall autonomy of over 900 km. On both predictions, pure and premium, there are a rich standard equipment on board Adas latest generation, a double digital screen from 12 “3both Apple Carplay and Android Auto wireless connectivity.

Shown during the Super Hybrid Night of Omoda and Jaecoo also other models of the two Chinese brands. Like the Jaecoo 5 Shs-Harriving in Italy at the end of the year with prices still to be announced. The Full Hybrid version of the 4.38 m long compact SUV, already available to petrol and 100% electrichas a 1.5 TGDI engine combined with an electrical unit, total 204 hp and a 1.8 kWh battery. In 2026 there will then be the arrival of two other plug-in hybrid models, with the 1.5 Tgdi engine and always present at the Alcatraz: the OMODA 7 SHS-P and the Jaecoo 8 Shs-Pa 4.82 m offroad admiral. At the space event also to the Jaecoo 7 Shs-P and to the Omoda 9 Shs-P of over 500 HP, or the two plug-ins hybrid SUVs already available on the Italian market with total autonomies of over 1,100 km.

During the evening of Milan, Omoda and Jaecoo also underlined the commercial results obtained in Italy, with the two brands that have achieved the1.63% of share in the private market last August. Omoda 5 and Jaecoo 7 are among the top ten models in C-SUV segmentwhile the Jaecoo 7 Shs-P is the market leader among the plug-in hybrid C-SUVs with a 29%share. On the global level, however, the sales of Omoda and Jaecoo have exceeded 630 thousand units in two yearswith over 211 thousand deliveries in 2025, a leap of 38% compared to 2024. The growth in Europe of the two Chinese brands is led by Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Omoda and Jaecoo are also expanding in Germany, France and Croatia.
