The tickets for the World Cup in the coming summer are in great demand. During the ten -day phase of the advance booking, more than 4.5 million fans from 216 countries applied for the first chance of admission tickets for the tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Most of the registrations were received by residents of the three host countries. Germany occupies fourth place in front of England in this demand ranking. Registration in this first phase was only possible with a VISA card – the payment card provider is a sponsor of the World Association and has the exclusive rights in the first phase.

“This is not only an outstanding result, but also a strong sign,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The whole world wanted to be part of the World Cup, which was first increased on 48 teams. North America “becomes a unique stage for the whole world,” said Infantino.
After the draw, successful applicants for the purchase of tickets – if available – are assigned a date and a time window. With a draw it is not guaranteed that tickets are really available in the respective time window.
Further sales phases begin in October. The registration phase for early ticketing starts on October 27, and sales will then increase between mid -November and early December. Phase three begins after the group draw, which takes place in Washington on December 5. Then fans can also apply for fixed duels.
