Surcharge on TV: Sabine Lisicki is briefly part of “Everything that matters” – and plays there himself. Before the shoot, she had a somewhat queasy feeling.

A new terrain for Sabine Lisicki: The former Wimbledon finalist enters the world of serial entertainment. In the RTL production “Everything counts”, the 35-year-old takes over a guest role-and plays himself. For the tennis player, it is the first appearance in a series.

“I already had a little jam before the shoot. I was a bit excited. Especially because you have to learn texts. I still have a little ‘Mom Brain’ and I am a bit forgetful,” said Lisicki of the German Press Agency. “I hope you don’t notice that,” she said with a laugh. “Mom Brain” means, among other things, difficulties of concentration among young mothers. Lisicki announced the birth of her daughter in September 2024.

So far, Lisicki has not brought the acting experience on a professional level. She was once on stage for a musical in the school theater – she was particularly appealing to sing, as she said. “Of course I also had advertising shoots, and I worked as an expert in front of the camera. But a series is already a completely new experience.”

“Everything that matters” has been running in RTL’s evening program since 2006 and is being produced in Cologne. Sport is an important topic in the soap opera, which tells of events around a sports and wellness center. Starting with figure skating, other sports came into focus from time to time. In summer, tennis was established as a new “everything counts” discipline.

Accordingly, Lisicki fits well into the series universe. It is told how she gives a tennis workshop for female tennis young people in Essen. Your guest appearance should be shown in episodes 4,846 to 4,848 between December 15 and 17, 2025 at RTL (one week in advance on RTL+).

She was very happy about the request, said Lisicki-also because she is “everything that matters” fan of the very beginning. “I can even remember the advertising at the time – because I found it so great that there is now a series that has to do with sports,” she said. “I was a little scared when I found out that it was already in 2006. My goodness was a long time ago.”
