Young strikers Seb Huntelaar (16) probably steps into the footsteps of his famous father. Like the later Schalke star Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (42), son Seb switches to PSV Eindhoven. The Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink reported on this on Wednesday. An agreement was reached, the signature should follow shortly.
Son Schalke-Department in 2017 was also there at Klaas-Jan Huntelaars.
The young Huntelaar was born in Madrid in April 2009, shortly before Real’s father switched to AC Milan and about a year before the way to FC Schalke 04 continued to the Bundesliga. There Huntelaar Senior became the best scorer in the younger club history. Klaus Fischer still leads the Schalke ranking.
So far, son Seb, who was once used in the Dutch U16 selection, was active in the youth of Vitesse Arnheim. His father had initially tried in vain at PSV for the big breakthrough. He only succeeded from SC Heerenveen (39 goals in 61 games) from 2004, from where it went on to Ajax, where he was also located high up in the club’s eternal scoring list with 158 goals in 257 games.
