200 meters – junk storms into the semi -finals

Very strong idea of Sophia Junk! The German champion comes out of the curve and lasts third place in a time of 22.81 seconds, which is enough for the semi -finals. On the home stretch, she even easily took her foot from the accelerator pedal, but saved herself over the line with four hundredths of a second in front of the Swede Julia Henriksson.

Triple jump – Hess has to give up after two attempts

That hurt while watching! Dreifinger Max Hess got out in the qualification after two attempts – the final takes place without him. The 29-year-old then explained in the Sprtschau interview that he had problems before: “Sometimes it was the hip, then the foot, it went through it that way. Of course, many training jumps were missing.”

His first jump already seemed very inhibited, Hess landed at 16.09 meters and therefore had no chance of progress. On the second attempt you saw the pain in his face after the “step”.

Spear throw – Weber struggled, but is certainly in the final

His first litter in the qualification on Wednesday (September 17, 2025) was still quite misleading for Weber relationships. After 82.29 meters, the Mainz also looked at the starting lane quite reproachfully – something didn’t seem to have liked it. In the second attempt, it was well over the qualification line, which was drawn at 84.50 meters and almost five meters further than at his throw.

And yet Weber did not look quite happy again, turned again with a delayed expression and looked as if the 87.21 meters were still not satisfied. In the Sportschau interview, he then explained: “It was simply not a technically beautiful throw. But I recently flattened for a few days, so I’m glad to be able to stand here now. Hopefully, everything will be much better in the final.” From 12.23 p.m. on Thursday (live ticker at Sportschau.de) it will be about the medals.
