The poverty figures also decrease further. Purchasing power

The purchasing power image looks balanced. An average household is 1.3% ahead in 2026. The expected inflation has already been incorporated in this. Childcare

Working parents with a higher income are also reimbursed for a larger part. The government is investing a total of € 199 million for this.

Extra money for approach problems UWV

The cabinet is also allocating extra money for the problems at the UWV. € 213 million is reserved for supplementary payments as a result of the recovery actions. Due to the long waiting times, people do not have to repay the advance in anticipation of their assessment, if this cannot be settled with another benefit. This costs € 278 million. In addition, € 197 million is reserved for extra benefits because people over 60 are temporarily assessed faster by the UWV. And finally, the government is investing € 36 million in social-medical centers.

Social Development Companies

Employees with a work disability who work at a social development company receive compensation because their income has fallen this year. The cabinet is allocating € 111 million for this. The compensation is paid by municipalities and applies to this year and for the 2026-2028. For 2025, the compensation is approximately € 37 gross per month. This is slightly lower before 2026-2028. Public Energy Fund

The government is reserving € 60 million to support households with a low income and high energy costs. For this, the government wants to set up a multi -year -old public energy fund. Due to the government’s contribution, another € 174.5 million European money will be available. In 2027, additional € 50 million will be available for this fund. People are expected to receive support from this fund from next winter, in combination with measures to save energy.

Households with a minimum income in the Caribbean Netherlands can also have an energy allowance in the coming year at $ 1,300 per year.

WW-Duur reduction

The shortening of the duration of the unemployment benefit to 18 months is postponed by the government for a year. In response to the statement from the outline agreement, it was agreed to have the measure entered as of January 1, 2027. The UWV has indicated that this starting date is not feasible. The intended new effective date is now January 1, 2028.
