According to TV authority Tina Nijkamp, the way good times of bad times started the TV season, Tina Nijkamp is some worried. She notices that the linear figures are under pressure. “RTL 4 stops.”
There will be some panic at RTL 4: The late evening with Arjen Lubach and RTL Tonight is a worry child and the out evening is now also under pressure. It can’t take long before the viewer drops out at the blood -tious RTL Boulevard and according to the viewing figure authority Tina Nijkamp, the viewing figures of Good Times Bad Times are seriously disappointing.
‘RTL 4 will stop’
GTST has been a fixture for decades at eight o’clock in the evening on RTL 4, but in recent years the viewing figures have only been going through the roof at that time when the soap series is on summer vacation. Then Ruben Nicolai appears again with his quiz I know all about it and a lot more people look at it.
According to Albert Verlinde, that will have consequences. He has suggested that GTST will disappear at RTL 4 and moves exclusively to Videoland. And that is a scenario that Tina also takes into account.
“It’s disappointing”
The scores of GTST are peaks, according to Tina. “Is GTST’s viewing figures doing well? Yes, I find it disappointing. It often scores among 700 thousand viewers, but I have to say very honestly: I find a lot of viewing figures disappointing. You really notice that less television is being watched and of course it has to do with that.”
She continues in Tina’s TV UPDATE: “A lot is looked at via Videoland, but if I compare it to the Ruben Nicolai quiz, I know all about it, then GTST really scores much less.”
Quizzes on 4
Tina thinks that there is a change. “It would not surprise me that GTST, what Albert Verlinde also suggested a few weeks ago, went exclusively to Videoland, and that they will do quizzes on RTL 4.”
She continues: “Then they have a and-one situation. Then they score better and on Videoland you really have something exclusive to offer, because that can also use Videoland, because it doesn’t work that well there.”
Allies
For example, how went with GTST yesterday? “GTST is chased by allies: 612 thousand viewers versus 571 thousand viewers. And in the commercial target group 25 to 54 years it has already been overtaken by allies: 15.4 percent vs 22.5 percent.”
A worrying development. Or, as Tina describes it: “Ai.”
And boulevard?
And what about RTL Boulevard? There they are lucky with the end of B&B full of love, says Tina. “I don’t know if it has been good for the RTL Boulevard brand to talk about B&B full of love. I honestly don’t think so. I thought it was a lot and much too much and the viewer now seems to punish something.”
She continues: “I also find it striking that they score a little lower than we are used to. I think the viewer is completely finished talking about B&B full of love, because if you don’t like it, you will be gone.”
Nak
Ultimately, RTL Boulevard can get image damage, which leads to lower viewing figures. “Whether it is good for your brand, that nakbbelt about B&B full of love … If you really want to be a current affairs program that matters, you really have to be careful with the amount of these types of items.”
So there is a B&B rest for now. For whom is that even more good? “Especially for Rob Goossens. He is a skilled media expert, but I now see him more and more as a Nababbelaar of B&B full of love.”
