In the fall of 2022, several attacks and arson took place in Emmen. Not only on Stienackers, but also (cars in) Halvemaanstraat, the Meerveld and Kolhoopstraat were target. Justice suspects that there is a connection between the incidents, but has so far not prosecuted.
A 46-year-old man from Emmen, who was previously a suspect in this case, also had to appear in court today. The police initially charged him with the possession of professional fireworks, but the Public Prosecution Service ultimately only continued to track him for the car of his ex-partner. The public prosecutor demanded 30 days in jail, of which 13 days conditional.
