As a teenager at Michael Jackson’s After party
To understand: In his book, Ronson looks back on an encounter that he had at the age of 13 with Jackson and which he saw after the accusations of sexual abuse against Jackson, as “NME” reports.
In “Night People”, Ronson says that as a child he was “obsessed” to gain a foothold in the music industry and that he met Jackson through John Lennon and Yoko ono’s son Sean Lennon. At the time, after a concert, while Jackson’s “Bad” tour visited his after party in a hotel with 50 guests.
Curious scenes: Jackson throws toilet paper from the hotel room
“”[Michael] was simply obsessed with throwing these damp lumps of paper out of the window; He took large quantities of toilet paper, made them moist and then threw them on parked cars, ”he writes according to“ The Sun ”.
It was “crazy” to admit that, but he tried to take a “Hook from Michael Jackson” to use it for a potential track – which he had not succeeded. Nevertheless, he writes about the meeting: “I would not say that it was a highlight of my childhood, but it was certainly one of the most unforgettable experiences.”
“Nothing inappropriate happens” – Ronson about the meeting
“Of course,” he added, “with the accusations that came later, I naturally questioned this event too often. For whatever reason, I found that there was nothing strange or inappropriate that night.”
In 1993 Evan Chandler, a dentist and screenwriter based in Los Angeles, accused Jackson of the sexual abuse of his 13-year-old son Jordan. The case was concluded in 1994 with a financial agreement between the two parties.
In 2013, four years after Jackson’s death, the choreographer Wade Robson filed a lawsuit against his estate and claimed that Jackson had sexually abused him at the age of seven to 14. Another man, the former children’s actor James Safechuck, also accused.
Jackson’s re -view team has always rejected all the allegations of sexual abuse against him.
