Jeroen Pauw is a luxury horse. He collects tons of tax money every year, but refuses to work full -time for that. Will he go to Curaçao all winter again this season? “Don’t do it!”

It was one of the reasons why Bar Late is so terribly flopped: at one point Jeroen Pauw went overwinter for months on Curaçao and we sat up with Sophie Hilbrand all winter. Does Jeroen squeeze out again this season, even though he is now on a channel with a talk show that bears his own name?

‘Pauw is going again’

For the chances of survival of Pauw & De Wit it would be disastrous, according to TV critic Victor Vlam. “I have just presented the BNNVARA and they answered me. I quote now:” It is true that we are thinking about a possible third presenter besides Jeroen and Tim. The 2026 schedule will be announced later. “”

He continues in the podcast Victor explains TV: “That is a explanation that is meant to be meaningless. So they don’t really want to say anything at the moment, but they keep the option explicitly open. I think that is a good chance that it will indeed happen that Jeroen will go on holiday in January and February for two months.”

Presenter

In that case there will be a raid presenter and Victor thinks that is a bad idea. “I have to tell you very much: I would really recommend him very much not to do it.”

He continues: “The Pauw & De Wit program is a success, but the moment you have an invasion presenter take over two months by Jeroen Pauw, the program can fall hard, certainly because there is not a logical raid presenter.”

Natasja or Amber

BNNVARA has no suitable invaders in the house, Victor believes. “Then you will fall back on Natasja Gibbs or Amber Kortzorg. I think if they are going to present the program – they don’t have the qualities of Jeroen Pauw and Tim de Wit – then suddenly it can really really go down in terms of viewing figures.”

“So yes, if it is not yet definitively decided: I would recommend Jeroen Pauw to skip that holiday that season at least this season. After all, it is also only two days a week, isn’t it, so it is not terribly hard work. Most plumbers and carpenters work harder.”
